David Stackenäs (* 1974 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish jazz guitarist .

Stackenäs, who has been playing the guitar since he was ten, studied at the Royal Conservatory in Stockholm from 1994 to 1998 . Since 1997 he has worked with the groups Animes (with Raymond Strid and Johan Berthling ), Tri-Dim (with Håkon Kornstad and Ingar Zach ) and the acoustic trio (with Christer Bothén and Peter Söderberg ).

In 1999 and 2001 he toured with Mats Gustafsson's NU ensemble (with Günter Christmann and Carlos Zingaro ). Stackenäs has been forming duo formations with Gustafsson and Martin Küchen since 2003 . In May 2003 he performed in London with Sten Sandell and Evan Parker , and in November of that year he toured Sweden and Norway with John Edwards and Ingar Zach.
