The run-of-river power plant Bamenohl is located on the Lenne at the southern exit of Bamenohl in the municipality of Finnentrop . The run-of-river power plant was built between 1921 and 1923. The technology has also largely been preserved in its original state. It belongs to Lister- und Lennekraftwerke GmbH and generates around two million kilowatt hours of electricity annually. In 1998 the interior was given a new coat of paint as part of renovation and restoration work. In addition, the old PVC flooring was replaced by new, color-coordinated floor tiles. In 2011 and 2014, large parts of the historic upper trench were replaced by a concrete channel, and the power plant has been in operation again since then. In 2014, a fish ladder was built at the weir at the top of the upper trench through which fish and macrozoobenthos can migrate.
