The Lenhausen run-of-river power plant is located on the Lenne in the Lenhausen district of Finnentrop . It is operated by Lister- und Lennekraftwerke GmbH .

The castle-like power plant was built from quarry stone in 1928 and has been preserved quite originally. Connected to the plant is a machinist's house that stands along the upper ditch. The machinery in the power plant is largely preserved from that time. The old control panel with dark gray marble has also been preserved . However, this is no longer in use.

The plant is since July 16, 1996 under monument protection .

The water is fed to the power station through a canal that branches off from the Lenne a few hundred meters below the Bigge estuary . This upper trench has a length of 2,300 meters. The water runs from it through an inlet rake with an automatic rake cleaning machine via a pipeline into the interior of the run- of -river power plant . The average height of fall is 6.6 meters. In the engine room, two Kaplan spiral turbines with vertical shafts each delivering 15.5 m³ / s from Voith using two three-phase synchronous generators from Siemens generate a total of 4.9 million kilowatt hours of electricity annually. The generators have a total output of 1,800 kVA .
