Laugarás is a place in the south of Iceland . In Iceland it is nicknamed í Árnessýslu to distinguish it from a nature reserve in Reykjavík with this name.

The place is at the bridge of the Skálholtsvegurs S31 over the Hvítá . There are 92 km by road to Reykjavík and 11 km to Reykholt . The heat of a thermal area is used for horticulture and growing vegetables.
