Laura Švilpaitė (born January 7, 1994 in Vilnius ) is a Lithuanian gymnast .
Life
Her mother Natalija Švilpienė was a professional acrobat . After graduating from secondary school in Naujamiestis in 2013 , Laura Švilpaitė is studying physical culture with a specialization in aerobics at the Faculty of Sport and Health of the Lietuvos edukologijos universitetas in Vilnius. Since September 2014 she has been working as a trainer in the gymnastics club "SKRYDIS" in Vilnius.
Sports
Laura Švilpaitė has been doing gymnastics since 1998. At the age of 5, she attended training camps and took part in sports competitions. Her first trainer was Irina Katinienė at the Vilnius City Sports Center . Other coaches are Mindaugas Katinas, Inga Levanienė, Vasilijus Gavrinas .
In 2012 Laura took part in the Summer Olympics in London. Laura is a candidate to take part in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro .
