Laura Henson
Laura Henson (born August 30, 1872 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania , † April 4, 1961 ) was an American tennis player .
Hanson is the daughter of James Benjamin Henson. She first appeared in the US Championships (later US Open ) in 1896 . She played for a tennis club in her hometown of Philadelphia. Henson achieved the greatest success of her career a year later. She won the mixed competition with her compatriot David Lynn Magruder .
The American was married twice: from 1899 to William Gustavus Fischer and from 1921 to Francis M. Brooks.
