One focus of Laura Lima's artistic work is the human body. She is interested in social relationships and exploring everyday human behavior. She has the dramaturgies she has developed performed by participating actors without appearing herself. Laura Lima's works range between performance and sculpture. She explores the boundaries between reality, illusion and fiction.

“Laura Lima's works are experimental arrangements that sound out the degree between the everyday and the absurd, between fiction and dream, imaginary and real, performance and sculpture. The central object of her artistic practice is the human body: as a medium, as a concept, as the driving force of social relationships, its gestures, behavior, embodiments. […] Laura Lima's works move on a terrain of strangeness and contradictions. In doing so, they question our perception of the everyday and show the absurdity that is inherent in the apparently real itself. "
