Laura Pinski (born August 30, 1996 in Düsseldorf ) is a German singer and actress .

life and career

Life

Laura Pinski was born on August 30, 1996 in Düsseldorf. Her parents emigrated from Poland to Germany in the 1970s. She has a sister ten years her senior. Already in kindergarten and school she took part in music and theater projects and was on stage.

Career

On September 29, 2009 Pinski opened her YouTube channel "Laura Pinski". On July 6, 2010, she uploaded her first video, a cover version of Christina Aguilera's song Beautiful .

In 2012 she took part in the casting show Das Supertalent . In the first round she sang Beautiful by Christina Aguilera and qualified for the semi-finals, which took place on December 1, 2012. There she sang Read All About It by Emeli Sandé . She qualified for the final and then finished fifth with Diamonds by Rihanna with 8.30 percent of all votes. In this context, she was also a guest on February 21, 2016 in Bettina Böttinger's talk show Kölner Treff .

Pinski on Our Song for Stockholm

She entered the German preliminary round of the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 on February 25, 2016 with the song Under The Sun We Are One , which was composed by Ralph Siegel and texted by John O'Flynn , finished fourth and was eliminated in the first round off.
