Laura Schwensen
Laura Schwensen (born July 25, 1991 in Kappeln ) is a former German rower . From 2009 to 2015 she was the helmsman of the German women's eight .
Schwensen launched for the rowing association Kappeln in gymnastics and sports club Kappeln from 1876 . In 2007 she finished second at the Junior World Championships with the German eighth . Since 2009 she has steered the German women's eight , with whom she finished fourth at the 2009 World Rowing Championships . In 2010 she won the bronze medal with the German eighth at the European Championships , at the World Championships the boat came in seventh place. After finishing eighth at the 2011 World Championships, the German women's eight did not qualify for the Olympic Games in London until the 2012 qualifying regatta in Lucerne . In London, the German eighth was the only boat that did not reach the final. In 2013 Schwensen won the silver medal at the European Championships with the German eighth , followed by the bronze medal in 2014 . After finishing seventh at the 2014 World Championships , the German eighth finished fourth at the 2015 European Championships and tenth place at the 2015 World Championships .
In 2011 she won eighth place at the German Championships.
