action

The sound engineer Jacques, who lives in the sixth arrondissement of Paris, is being left by his wife Constance. His life changes when he hires the cleaning lady Laura. Although Jacques is much older and more educated than Laura, they get closer when Laura is also abandoned by her boyfriend. Still, Jacques confesses to her that he has not fallen in love with her and that he longs for his wife. Since Laura does not have enough working hours with Jacques and she does not want to clean in another apartment, she gets into financial difficulties and can temporarily live with Jacques. He takes her on a trip to the country to meet his friend Ralph. As Jacques develops feelings for Laura there, their relationship comes to an abrupt end when Laura meets a man of the same age on the beach.
