Laurene Landon (* 17th March 1957 in Toronto , Canada as Laurene Landon Coughlin ) is an American film and television actress .

Life

Born in Toronto and raised in California since she was four , Landon initially enrolled at California State University in Los Angeles as a young woman , but eventually decided to work as an extra for filming. In the late 1970s she was increasingly cast in larger supporting roles, such as in 1979 in Bitter Heritage and Scoring . In 1980 she came second in the Miss Black Velvet election in Las Vegas.

She had success as an actor in 1981 under the direction of Robert Aldrich and alongside Peter Falk in Kesse Bees on the Mat (... All the Marbles) . Her best-known leading role is that of Hundra in the fantasy film of the same name from 1983. Landon has worked in over 20 film and television productions in the course of her career, often directed by Larry Cohen and in action-oriented, strong female roles. However, most of their films did not get beyond B-movie status. Occasionally she also works as a model.

Landon is unmarried and lives in Hollywood .
