Lauri Kettunen (born February 12, 1905 in Kamennogorsk , † August 15, 1941 in Kestenga ) was a Finnish modern pentathlete and fencer .
Kettunen took part in the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam in modern pentathlon and epee fencing .
At the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin , he only competed in the modern pentathlon , where he took 14th place. In 1941 he became chairman of the national basketball federation Suomen Koripalloliitto . He served as a major during World War II . He died on August 15, 1941 at the Silberfuchs company in Kestenga .
