Lauri Sirp

Lauri Sirp (born October 29, 1969 ) is an Estonian conductor .

Life and music

Lauri Sirp graduated from the Estonian Music Academy in 1993 with a degree in choral conducting with Kuno Areng and in 2002 with a degree in orchestral conducting with Jüri Alperten . Since August 1993 Sirp has been employed as a conductor at the theater and opera house " Vanemuine " in Tartu in southern Estonia . He also works closely with the Estonian State Symphony Orchestra ( Eesti Riiklik Sümfooniaorkester ) and other orchestras in Estonia and Finland . Since spring 2003 Lauri Sirp has also conducted performances at the Estonia National Opera in the Estonian capital Tallinn .
