Lawrence Kpabitey Kodjiku

Lawrence Kpabitey Kodjiku (* 31 July 1932 in Odumase Krobo ) is a Ghanaian diplomat in retirement .

Career

In 1965 he graduated from the University of Ghana . As a teacher, he has taught at elementary, middle, technical and secondary schools. Lawrence joined the Ghana's armed forces as an education officer in 1965 . He taught at the Ghanaian Military Academy from 1966 to 1972. From 1973 to 1976 he was commissioned by the Ministry of Education to provide career advice for university graduates. In 1975 he was regional commissioner for the Ashanti region. and for Greater Accra. He was then regional commissioner for the Northern Region for three years. He was released from the Ghanaian armed forces in 1980. In 1996 he received in the constituency Lower Manya as a candidate of the NPP 5718 out of 30,908 votes, when the candidate of the NDC, Michael Teye Nyaunu was elected to parliament with 24,763 votes. From June 2002 to January 2005 was the ambassador in Tel Aviv .
