The Laxá í Kjós is a river in the west of Iceland .
He is the outflow from the Stíflisdalsvatn crashes over the Þórufoss and Pokafoss and flows 25 km into the Bay of Laxárvogur Hvalfjörður . The name Laxá indicates salmon. As early as 1884, attempts were made to hatch salmon here in Iceland for the first time.
