Le Granit is a regional county municipality ( French municipalité régionale du comté, MRC ) in the Canadian province of Québec .
It is located in the administrative region of Estrie and consists of 20 subordinate administrative units (one city, 14 municipalities, two cantonal municipalities and three districts). The MRC was founded on May 26, 1982. The main town is Lac-Mégantic . The population is 22,452 and the area is 2729.8 km², which corresponds to a population density of 8.2 inhabitants per km².
