Le Petit Menec
Along with Le Menec , Kermario and Kerlescan, Le Petit Menec is one of the "Carnac alignments". Le Petit Menec is located north of La Trinité-sur-Mer in the Morbihan department in Brittany in France .
It is possible that the rows of stones by Le Petit Menes and Kerlescan once formed a unit that was cut up by the layout of villages and streets.
Le Petit Menec is relatively well preserved and, with its eight fan-like rows with around 100 stones, lies in a rather boggy area in the forest. Once there were over 250 menhirs , but in the middle of the 19th century they were used to build the lighthouse on Belle-Île . The fan-like arrangement testifies to the diversity of megalithic constructions compared to the other rows .
