Leah Baird
Leah Baird (born June 20, 1883 in Chicago , Illinois , † October 3, 1971 in Hollywood , Los Angeles , California ) was an American screenwriter and film actress in the silent film era .
Life
In 1913, Baird began her career as an actress and managed to gain the attention of critics in the following year through substantial roles alongside William S. Hart and at the side of Douglas Fairbanks . In the sound film era , she mainly appeared in supporting roles and as a screenwriter.
Leah Baird married the film producer Arthur Beck on November 25, 1914. The marriage, which all reports said was a happy one, had a daughter. Leah Baird died of complications from leukemia and was buried in Hollywood Forever Cemetery .
