Life and Death (spelling: Life & Death ) is a quarterly German magazine .
Content
Life & Death deals with the different facets of life , death , illness , death , mourning , comfort , spirituality , burial and cemetery culture .
The contributions range from essays, background reports and interviews with experts and those affected to travel reports, experience reports and advice. Each issue has a thematic focus such as organ donation , euthanasia , care and dementia , but also topics such as humor and happiness .
In addition to the magazine's editors and regular journalists, well-known guest authors have their say, depending on the focus, for example the palliative medicine specialist Gian Domenico Borasio , the chairwoman of the German Alzheimer's Society , Heike von Lützau-Hohlbein, and the director of the Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk , Karola Wille .

The magazine in 2012 by Raymond Voltz, founded palliative of the University of Cologne , Gunnar Duttge , legal scholars for medical and Biolaw at the University of Göttingen , and Falk Stirner, CEO of backing material Social Services in Sachsen GmbH and co-founder of the first stationary hospice in the new federal states in Radebeul .
The initial editor-in-chief was Uwe von Seltmann . At the beginning of 2013 he was replaced by the current editor-in-chief Klaus Gertoberens, who had previously worked for the Süddeutsche Zeitung , among other things , and was editor-in-chief of the daily newspaper Die Union .
In 2012 Leben & Tod was the media partner of the ARD theme week “Life with Death”.
Frequency of publication
Leben & Tod is published four times a year and can be read as a print or online magazine, as well as by subscription or as a single issue.
Fair
The magazine Leben & Tod is on friendly terms with the life and death fair of the same name . But they are not the same actors.
