Lech Kołakowski

Lech Antoni Kołakowski (born June 13, 1963 in Zambrów ) is a Polish politician , local politician and since 2005 a member of the Sejm in the V. and VI . Electoral term.

He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw . He ran his own trading company. From 1998 to 2005 he was a councilor in Łomża , and for the last three years he was the deputy chairman of this body.

In the 2005 parliamentary elections , he was elected to the Sejm for the constituency of Białystok on the list of Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (Law and Justice - PiS). In the local elections in 2006, he ran for the office of mayor of Łomża. He got 24.8% of the vote in the first ballot, in the second ballot he lost to the incumbent Jerzy Brzeziński .

In the 2007 Sejm elections , he was confirmed as a member of the PiS with 10,457 votes. He is a member of the Sejm Commission for EU Affairs.
