The Lee , in a sub-area called Kleine Lee , is a flowing water in the county of Bentheim . The Lee has no actual source, but arises in the Engden desert ( Engden municipality ) as the confluence of several drainage ditches. It is 22 kilometers long to its confluence with the Vechte in Hoogstede .
"Lee" was the general name for slowly flowing water in earlier times. The downhill slope is only 14 meters along its entire length.
