Lee Haskins (* 29. November 1983 in Bristol , England ) is a British boxer in the bantamweight and former world champion of the Association IBF .
Professional career
In 2003 he started his professional career successfully and became English master and Commonwealth master in flyweight. After switching to bantamweight he suffered two defeats in three fights and then switched to super flyweight. In this weight class he was then British and Commonwealth champion.
Fighting in the bantamweight again, he became intercontinental champion of the WBA in July 2011 and European champion of the EBU in July 2012 . He beat the eventual IBF world champion Stuart Hall . In his first title defense he lost to the Belgian Stephane Jamoye, but was then British champion again and European champion in February 2015.
On June 13, 2015 he boxed against Ryosuke Iwasa for the interim world championship title of the IBF association and won by technical knockout in round 6. On November 21 of the same year, Haskins was awarded the full world champion status of the IBF after Randy Caballero the title was withdrawn because the weight limit was exceeded.
Haskins then unanimously defended the title in May 2016 against Ivan Morales, brother of multiple world boxing champion Erik Morales . In September 2016, he also beat Stuart Hall in a rematch.
He finally lost the title on June 10, 2017 by losing points to Ryan Burnett .
