Lego Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game ( own notation : LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game , English Original title: Lego Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game ) is a computer game of action-adventure - genres that by Traveler's Tales and TT Fusion ( handheld versions) was developed and published in May 2011 by Disney Interactive Studios for Microsoft Windows , macOS X , Nintendo DS , Nintendo 3DS , PlayStation Portable , Wii , PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 .

Gameplay

The gameplay of Lego Pirates of the Caribbean is similar to that of other Lego games. In over 20 levels the player plays from the point of view of different characters known from the first 4 films, who also have different special skills. There are around 70 characters in total. The game can be played in both single player and multiplayer modes . In between there are clips in typical Lego style. Levels can be repeated any number of times after they have ended. B. to be able to collect missed collectibles afterwards. This is recommended after finishing the game in order to repeat the levels with other characters in free play, as different special skills are required for certain collectibles. StreetPass technology is used on Nintendo 3DS for sword fights .

Lego Pirates of the Caribbean received a mediocre reception from the trade press . The US computer game magazine GameSpot rated the Windows, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii versions with 6.5 out of a total of 10 points. The handheld versions of the game were rated 6 points each by GameSpot . The US online magazine IGN rated the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and Nintendo DS versions of the game with 7.5 and the Nintendo 3DS version with 8 out of 10 points.

Sales figures

Lego Pirates of the Caribbean was the third best-selling computer game in May 2011.
