The 7th World Athletics Championships for the disabled took place from October 21st to 31st, 2015 in the Qatari capital Doha . The competitions were held in Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium .

1230 athletes (427 women and 803 men) from 96 nations competed in 212 medal decisions.

Candidate cities

In mid-January 2013, the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) published that the Para World Championships 2015 should take place in Doha . Competitors and financing issues were not mentioned, and the exact date and venue were not disclosed.

Two months later, the IPC announced that the competitions will be held from November 19 to 28 in the Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium , also known as the Qatar SC Stadium , a multi-purpose stadium with eight running tracks and 15,000 seats. An adjoining round with eight running tracks was available for warming up, and training opportunities were provided in the Al Saad Club and Al Arabi Club .

In September 2014, the IPC announced that the competitions had been brought forward by one month.

In October 2014, the decision was made to run the marathons separately on April 26, 2015 as part of the London Marathon .
