The Qatar SC Stadium ( Arabic ملعب نادي قطر) is a football stadium with an athletics facility in the Qatari capital Doha . It was built in 1985 and has a capacity of 20,000 spectators. The sports facility was renovated in 2005 and 2010. The main user of the stadium is the football club Qatar Sports Club , which plays its home games in the Qatar Stars League there .
In 2010, the facility hosted the Qatar Athletic Super Grand Prix , the first stop of the IAAF Diamond League , for the first time .
In 2011 the stadium was one of the four venues for the Asian Football Championship .
