Leif Frey (born January 14, 1979 in Lüdenscheid ) is a former German ski jumper .

Career

Frey lives in Lüdenscheid and started for the local SC Lüdenscheid . As a student he took part in his first FIS competitions as early as 1990. He had his most successful time around 1999. Frey made his debut in the ski jumping World Cup at the start of the Four Hills Tournament in 1998/99 in Oberstdorf , where he clearly missed the final as 44th. Further missions followed in January and February in Japan. While he narrowly missed the final rounds in two competitions in Sapporo as 34th and 32nd, he finished 20th in Harrachov and won World Cup points for the first and only time. There was only one more use in the World Cup, in Oberstdorf at the start of the Four Hills Tournament 2001/02 . In 2002 Frey started in several Continental Cup competitions, but without achieving any results worth mentioning.
