Leipoldtville is a village on the Langvleirivier in the municipality of Cederberg , West Coast District , Western Cape Province in South Africa . It is 21 kilometers northeast of Elands Bay , three kilometers west of Graafwater in the Sandveld on the R365 road. In 2011 the place had 298 inhabitants.
The village was established in 1905 when Pastor CJ Leipoldt of the Dutch Reformed Church in South Africa founded a new parish in Clanwilliam to provide spiritual support to the farmers in the remote area.
The name refers to the pastor's son, the well-known South African poet of the 19th century, C. Louis Leipoldt.
The surrounding farms form the most important economic basis for the residents. Mainly potatoes are grown there.

- After the winter rain , in the South African spring (July / August) the landscape around the village is covered with a multitude of flowers. The succulent geranium Pelargonium appendiculatum is endemic here .
