Lena Düpont

Lena Düpont (* 1986 ) is a German politician from the Christian Democratic Union .

Life

Düpont studied political science and journalism at the University of Erlangen . As a research assistant she worked for the European Parliament member Renate Sommer in Brussels and then for the Bundestag members Ewa Klamt , Eckhard Pols and Ingrid Pahlmann in Berlin and Gifhorn. Before her election to the European Parliament, Düpont worked as an editor for a city magazine in Gifhorn.

In May 2019, Düpont was elected as a member of the European Parliament. There she belongs to the EPP Group .

Düpont is a member of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs . She is also an alternate member of the Committee on Regional Development , the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development, and the Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality . In addition, Düpont is a member of the delegations for the EU-Montenegro Stabilization and Association Parliamentary Committee and alternate member of the delegation for relations with Japan.
