Lena Knauss

Lena Knauss (born October 6, 1984 in Böblingen ) is a German director and screenwriter .

After graduating from high school in 2004, she was an intern at the Maxim-Gorki-Theater in Berlin and from 2005 to 2012 completed training in directing / scenic film at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy in Ludwigsburg .

Lena Knauss became famous for her film Kirschrot , which was shown during the 41st Hof International Film Festival , among others . Two years later the film Streiflichter followed with Sandra Borgmann in the lead role. This film was also shown in Hof two years later . In 2012 the German-Swedish co-production "Geister I rief" with Lisa Carlehed and Ola Rapace followed. In 2013 Lena Knauss was awarded the Studio Hamburg Young Talent Award in the category "Best Director" for the film.
