Lea Finn , actually Lena Charlotte Schütz , (born February 17, 1981 in Bremen ) is a German singer and songwriter.

Life and musical career

Schütz is the daughter of a guitarist and a former opera singer. She was already musically active as a teenager. She worked in various bands and projects and in 2001 won the band contest “Live in Bremen”. She recorded a demo of the prize money and sent it out. This is how a Hamburg producer became aware of Lea.

In 2003 she got a record deal and recorded the English-language album One million songs . She came into contact with well-known artists, accompanied Bryan Adams on his European tour and appeared in the opening act for Simply Red and Sting . She also went on a live and promotional tour to Brazil, where the album sold much better than in Germany.

Schütz then went to Sweden, where she returned to her musical roots and wrote new songs - in German. In Germany she went to the North Sea with old band members to work out the new material with them, record demos and try out the songs in front of an audience. In the summer of 2005 she got a record deal with this material with the major label Sony BMG . In addition, Laith Al-Deen took them on his tour as support in the summer of 2005. There she met Florian Sitzmann and Tommy Baldu, her future team of producers. From February to April 2006 they recorded the record FINNLand , which was released in February 2007, together in Studio Leas .

On February 9, 2007, Schütz took part in Stefan Raab's Bundesvision Song Contest for Bremen with the song I know, you know .

From 2009, Schütz worked as a radio host for Bremen Vier .
