Lennart Larsson (born July 9, 1953 in Stockholm ) is a former Swedish football player .

career

Larsson came from Hässleholms IF to Halmstads BK , with whom he became Swedish champion in 1976. After the end of the 1977 season, he moved to FC Schalke 04 in the Bundesliga in December for a transfer fee of 400,000 D-Marks . There he was supposed to follow in the footsteps of Branko Oblak , who had moved to Bayern Munich . After initial euphoria, however, he could not convince in Germany and returned to Halmstads BK in the summer of 1979 and was able to achieve his second championship title with the club.

Larsson was the Swedish international between 1976 and 1981 . He played 26 international matches and was part of the squad at the 1978 World Cup .

In the 2010s he worked in advertising and sold bus signs in Halmstad, where he still often attended his former club's games.
