school-building
Today's Building A of the Leo von Klenze School is the former New Pioneer Barracks in Ingolstadt . It was built between 1899 and 1902 and housed the pioneers stationed in Ingolstadt until 1945 . The barracks are also taken up in Marieluise Fleißer's comedy Pioneers in Ingolstadt . After the pioneers received new barracks on Manchinger Strasse when the Bundeswehr was founded, the three-storey building was converted for school purposes between 1956 and 1958. Most recently, around 1988/89, an east wing ( building B ) was added as a new building.
