Leo Burgerstein

Leo Burgerstein (born June 30, 1853 in Vienna ; † May 12, 1928 there ) was an Austrian high school teacher who dealt with hygiene and school health, in his early years a geologist and paleontologist .

Burgerstein studied geology and palaeontology at the University of Vienna , where he received his PhD in 1876. phil. received his doctorate . From 1877 to 1882 he worked as an assistant at the Geological Institute of the University of Vienna. Then he worked as a middle school teacher. He became an expert in school hygiene and public health.
