Leo Warner

Leo Warner (* 1980 in Keighley ) is a British video designer .

life and work

Warner founded Fifty Nine (Design) in 2001 and, together with Mark Grimmer, founded the film and new media production company Fifty Nine Productions in 2006 , which deals with moving images in the context of galleries , performances and theater productions. Since 2008 he has been an Artistic Associate at the National Theater in London, where he works closely with the director Katie Mitchell . At the National Theater of Scotland in Edinburgh he developed the production Black Watch , which received three Critics' Awards , and at the National Theater in 2009 he created the video design for War Horse , a production which then toured the USA, Australia and Europe. In 2012 he created the video design for the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in London and in 2014 the video installation Lighting the Sails at the Sydney Opera House for the Vivid LIVE Festival .
