Leonardo Pinizzotto (born August 14, 1986 in Pisa ) is a former Italian road cyclist.

Athletic career

Leonardo Pinizzotto, whose father Angelo was already active as a cyclist, drove as a stagiaire with the Italian ProTeam Lampre-Fondital in 2007 , but did not get a professional contract there. That year he won the Gran Premio Pretola . In the 2009 season he drove for the amateur team Hopplà Seano Bellissima, where he was successful at Pistoia-Fiorano and at a stage of the Coppa del Mobilio. From 2010 Pinizzotto drove for the Italian Continental Team Miche-Guerciotti . In his second year there, he won a stage in the Tour du Maroc . In 2013 he won a stage each in the Boucle de l'Artois race and the Tour de Hokkaidō .

In 2014, Pinizzotto moved to the Amore & Vita-Selle SMP team , whose leader is friends with his father. In June he decided a stage of the Canadian Tour de Beauce for himself. About two weeks later he ended his cycling career; the reasons for his sudden resignation are unknown. Today ( as of 2018 ) he and his father run a bike rental shop in Gran Canaria .
