Leonhard Helbich-Poschacher

Leonhard Helbich-Poschacher (born December 26, 1955 ) is an Austrian lawyer , master roofer and building materials dealer . With Austrodach GmbH, he owns and manages the leading Austrian building materials trading company for the roof sector.

Life

Leonhard Helbich-Poschacher is the younger son of the Austrian industrialist and politician Leopold Helbich and the entrepreneur Burgl Helbich-Poschacher . He graduated from Schottengymnasium and law studies in Vienna and supplemented his academic training with a doctorate and in 1982 with an MBA in Arizona , USA . Apprenticeship and master craftsman training in the roofing trade are useful for his entrepreneurial activities . He lives in Perg with his wife Karin and four daughters . Since 1976 he has been a member of the Catholic student association KaV Norica Vienna in the ÖCV .

In 1983 he joined his parents' family business, which was founded in 1839, and from 1986 onwards, as managing director, expanded the building materials division, which was founded in 1974, from 29 to 90 employees today. At the end of the 1980s, he laid the foundation stone for the Donaupark shopping center in Mauthausen, which now has 57 shops on an area of ​​18,000 square meters. Roofing and plumbing were also greatly expanded and in 1992, Austrodach GmbH, based in Sankt Valentin, was created that specializes in the building materials trade in the roof sector and achieved sales of almost one billion schillings in 2000. He is President of the Association of Austrian Building Material Dealers, to which 120 companies with around 4,500 employees and an annual turnover of around € 2 billion belong, and from 2001 to 2004 he was also President of the European Association of Building Material Dealers (UFEMAT).
