Leonhard Jores
Leonhard Jores (born March 26, 1866 in Bonn , † February 7, 1935 in Kiel ) was a German pathologist and university professor .
Life
During his studies he became a member of the AMV Makaria Bonn in the special houses association .
After completing his studies, he was a professor at the Academy for Practical Medicine in Cologne. Jores became a medical professor at the Philipps University of Marburg in 1913 and a full professor of pathology at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel in 1918 . In 1926/27 he was rector of the CAU. His textbook Anatomical Fundamentals of Major Diseases was translated into English for the American market during World War I. Jores was the father of Arthur Jores , the founder of psychosomatic medicine in Germany.
