Leonhard Kubizek (born September 1, 1963 in Krumau am Kamp , Waldviertel ) is an Austrian musician, director and author.

Life

Leonhard Kubizek's father was the composer and choir director Augustin Kubizek , his mother the cellist and viol player Elli Lewinsky. He is the second oldest of 4 siblings.

Leonhard Kubizek started playing the piano at the age of 4. He first learned from his parents and from 1969 from Renate Kramer-preishammer. When he was 9 years old, he joined Rudolf Jettel's clarinet class at the Vienna Music Academy . At the age of 15 he began his solo career as a clarinetist. He gave 37 concerts for Austrian schools over 8 years.

In 1982 Leonhard Kubizek was Austria's “Musician of the Year” (ORF) and a prize winner in the “International Young Musician of the Year” contest.

In 1983 he made his debut as a soloist at the Salzburg Festival with Mozart's Clarinet Concerto and had his first show as a solo entertainer ( Magicsound ) in the Wiener Konzerthaus . Concerts all over the world as well as radio, television and record productions followed, where he worked with famous orchestras (including the Vienna Symphony Orchestra , Royal Philharmonic Orchestra , Den-Haag-Promenade Orchestra) and personalities such as Leonard Bernstein .

In 1992 there is a reorientation. Leonhard Kubizek works as a trainer and coach for musicians with performers burn-out syndrome. He learned directing and screenwriting in the USA and dealt with different ways of learning and using his own skills. He worked there (as Pat Leonhard) as a director for artists, orchestras, television companies and film companies, as well as for companies and project-related cooperation structures in the USA and Europe.

In 2000, Leonhard Kubizek set up the “Waldviertler Geisterwerkstatt”, a tourism and theater company which, as a test laboratory with 350,000 samples, laid the foundation for “Leonhard Kubizek's mymozartScan”.

This artistic work is based on access to a form of direction that Kubizek calls "mental direction".

Kubizek is the initiator of the “6/24 - Birth of Supportainment” campaign, which calls for “spreading positive messages”. He is chairman of “Time Renewal - Organization for the Promotion of the Practicality of Human Rights” and editor of the Europe Yearbook of Human Rights 2018/19. Leonhard Kubizek is the father of four children and lives in Vienna.
