Leonid Barkowskyj
Leonid Barkowskyj ( Ukrainian Леонід Барковський , English transcription Leonid Barkovskyy; born December 13, 1940 in Swobodny ) is a former Ukrainian long jumper who competed for the Soviet Union .
At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964, he was eliminated from qualification.
In 1966 he finished fourth at the European Athletics Championships in Budapest , and in 1967 he won silver at the European Indoor Games in Prague .
At the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City, he finished eleventh at the European Championship in 1969 in Athens and fifth at the European Athletics Indoor Championships 1970 in Vienna eighth.
In 1972 he came in eighth place at the Olympic Games in Munich .
In 1966 he was Australian champion. He set his personal best of 8.06 m on July 18, 1972 in Moscow .
