Leonid V. Azároff

Leonid Vladimirovich Azároff (* 1926 - July 3, 2014 in Naples , Florida ) was a crystallographer and materials scientist . He was best known for his textbooks.

Life

Azároff studied at Tufts University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology . From 1961 to 1964 he was a visiting scientist at Brookhaven National Laboratory . In 1965 he was the founding director of the Institute of Materials Science at the University of Connecticut , where he remained until his emeritus in 1992.
