Leonora Demaj (born August 25, 1997 in Hvidovre , Denmark ) is a Danish-Kosovar handball player who belongs to the squad of the Kosovar national team.

Career

Leonora Demaj initially played for the Danish clubs Nakskov Håndboldklub and Sydhavspigerne. In 2014 Demaj Nykøbing joined Falster Håndboldklub , where she initially appeared in the youth division and for the 2nd women's team. She also received play in the first team of Nykøbing Falster Håndboldklub, which competed in the Danish top division. In November 2016, the backcourt player moved to the Danish second division side SønderjyskE Håndbold . After Demaj scored a total of 70 goals in the 2017/18 season, her contract was extended by two years.

In 2017 Demaj, whose family comes from Istog , decided to play for the Kosovar national team. In qualifying for the European Championship 2018 , she scored the most goals with 48 goals.
