Leonore Pany

Leonore Pany (also: Lenore Pany , pseudonyms : E. Berthold , Emmy Bertold , Rudolf Treuen , born August 8, 1877 in Hollenburg / Donau , † February 24, 1965 in Vienna ) was an Austrian writer and composer .

Life

Leonore Pany was the daughter of a seminar professor . She grew up in St. Pölten , where she attended the Institute of the English Misses from 1889 . She received her musical training at the conservatory in Krems an der Donau . In 1896 she went to the Serbian town of Kragujevac as an educator ; A short time later she moved to Venice , where she worked as a partner in an Italian family of manufacturers . A serious illness forced her to return to Austria . From 1902 she published narrative works in Austrian and German magazines . Pany lived in Vienna from 1904 .

Leonore Pany's literary work includes numerous novels and short stories . In addition , the author composed instrumental and chamber music , operas and songs .
