Leony

Leony (born June 25, 1997 in Chammünster ; actually: Leonie Burger ) is a German pop singer .

Life

Together with her friends Julian Vogl and Maximillian Böhle, Leonie Burger appeared in the RTL show Rising Star in 2014 under the band name Unknown Passenger. In the final, they convinced the audience with their version of Stay and received 92.77% of the audience's votes. During the show she met her manager Nik Hafermann. The band then went through a few smaller clubs, but then broke up and Leonie Burger then tried to establish herself as a solo artist. In addition, she took her first name in a slightly modified spelling as a stage name.

Leony signed with Sony Music in Australia in 2016 . Then a longer vocal coaching began . Her first songs were written in Sweden. In 2017 she released her debut single Surrender . The song was used in a commercial for a Sylvie Meis underwear collection . The single boots followed in 2018 . More Than Friends followed in 2019 .

Then Leony moved to Berlin and set up with a new team. Vitali Zestoskih became the new manager and producer . Together with the DJ duo Vize and Sam Feldt , she released the single Far Away from Home . She finally achieved her breakthrough in July 2020 with a reinterpretation of the Modern Talking song Brother Louie , a collaboration with the Vice, the Kazakh artist Imanbek and the former Modern Talking member Dieter Bohlen .
