Vize (stylized VIZE , also Vize Music ) is a German music project . It became famous in 2018 through the single Glad You Came .
history
The project was founded in 2018 by the Schwerin-based DJ Mario Fiebiger, who was the face of the project, and the Berlin- based music producer Vitali Zestovskih . The name of the project consists of the first two letters of the first and last name of Zestovskih.
In June 2018, the debut single Glad You Came , a cover of the 2011 song of the same name by The Wanted , was released on Kontor Records . The structure of the song is also heavily based on In My Mind by Dynoro and Gigi D'Agostino . The song developed into a club hit in German-speaking countries in the course of 2018, but was initially not very successful commercially. It wasn't until April 2019 that the song entered the music charts in France , and a few weeks later the song also made it into the German charts .
In May 2019 the second single Stars was released in collaboration with the German singer Laniia . With 18th place in Germany and 24th place in Austria, it reached the highest chart positions of the project to date. The single reached gold status in Germany and Austria in November.
Since November 2019 Johannes Vimalavong has been part of the project instead of Mario Fiebiger. On November 22, 2019, Close Your Eyes was a collaboration with German DJ Felix Jaehn . The Swedish singer Miss Li was won over as a guest singer . The electro pop piece about health psychology reached number 21 in the single charts in Germany and became the third chart success for Vice.
On January 31, 2020, they released the collaboration Baby with Capital Bra , under his alias Joker Bra . The song immediately reached number one in the German single charts.
