Thomas "Tom" Gregory (born November 10, 1995 in Blackpool , England ) is a British singer-songwriter and actor .

Life

Tom Gregory grew up with his siblings in Blackpool in the north of England . He listened to a lot of guitar music from an early age. His father introduced him to artists such as Kool & The Gang and James Taylor and thus had a lasting impact on him. He was never interested in modern music. He gained his first stage experience at the age of 17 with The Voice UK , where he was eliminated in the preliminary round. He then decided to graduate from school first.

The next public appearance he had as a star in the BBC series The A Word , in which he played the role of Luke Taylor in six episodes. After his short series interlude, he shifted his focus back to music and toured Great Britain and Germany over the next two years . During this time he was in the opening act for musicians like Jessie J , Will.i.am and Tom Jones on stage.

The Hamburg label Kontor Records signed him as the first pop musician . In August 2017 he released his debut single "Run To You" and thus placed himself directly in the top 30 of the German airplay charts (place 26, 25 million streams). He announced his first album for spring 2020.

Today he lives in Blackpool and Hamburg .
