Close Your Eyes ( English for "Close your eyes") is a song in collaboration with the German DJ Felix Jaehn and the German music project vice , with the Swedish guest vocalist Miss Li appeared.
Creation and artwork
Close Your Eyes was written jointly by Linda Carlsson (Miss Li), Sonny Gustavsson, Felix Jaehn, Vincent Kottkamp and Vitali Zestovskih (Vice Member). The piece was created in Stockholm in September 2018 . The first demo recording was already on September 18, 2018, but the final version was not completed until October 2019 by the Vize music project. The instrumentation (keyboard and drums) as well as the programming of the piece was carried out through the collaboration of Jaehn, Kottkamp and Zestovskih. Together with Johannes Bieniek, the trio was also responsible for production, with the trio being responsible for the vocal production and Bieniek for the rest of the production. Bieniek also appears as a so-called “additional producer”. The mixing of the song was carried out under the main responsibility of Bieniek, with the Austrian sound engineer Nikodem Milewski at his side as his assistant . Both were also responsible for the mastering.
On the front cover of the single you can see - next to the artist name and song title on the right edge - Jaehn, against a red background. You can only see his upper body while he is supporting himself with his left arm on his neck and looking up to the right in a dreamy way with his eyes closed. On his T-shirt you can see a starry night over a forest and a shooting star , a British telephone booth protrudes from the forest . Jaehn himself two butterflies fly . The photograph was taken in 2018 by the Berlin photographer Viktor Schanz.
