In My Mind is a song by the Lithuanian DJ and music producer Dynoro . It is a mashup of the songs In My Mind by Ivan Gough , Feenixpawl and Georgi Kay , as well as by Gigi D'Agostinos L'amour toujours . It was officially released on June 8, 2018 via B1 Recordings , a sub-label of Sony Music Entertainment , and reached number one in the German single charts .

At the end of 2017 Dynoro published In My Mind on SoundCloud and Spotify . The song is based on the song of the same name by Ivan Gough , Feenixpawl and Georgi Kay , which was released as a remix by Axwell as the anthem for the Tomorrowland festival in 2012 and which gained notoriety through the official festival aftermovie, but did not achieve any great commercial success. A hookline in the Dynoro version of In My Mind comes from Gigi D'Agostinos L'amour toujours , which was released on the album of the same name in 1999 and reached number 3 in the German and Austrian single charts in 2001 as a single . In January 2018 In My Mind reached the top 10 of the German and Austrian Spotify charts, but was removed from all platforms on January 27, 2018, probably due to the lack of rights to the songs used. On June 8, 2018, the song was officially released via B1 Recordings . Gigi D'Agostino is listed as Featuring , although he was not involved in the production of this version.

In My Mind received mostly positive reviews. Radio Gong 96.3 describes the song as "on the whole a groovy dance track that comes across as very mystical in a way, but also has elements that exude a good mood" and considers it "an absolute listener". Matthias Schwarzer the New Westphalian 's In My Mind , a "hot contender for the summer hit in 2018".

Commercial win

My Mind achieved high chart positions across Europe. The song entered the German single charts at number 17 on June 15, 2018. After the song dropped out of the top 20 in the second week of the chart, it increased again in the following weeks and reached the top 10 for the first time on July 6, 2018 with seventh place . In the sixth week of the chart, number one in the German single charts was achieved for the first time , and the song spent a total of eleven weeks in this top position. Although Gigi D'Agostino was able to achieve top positions in the German single charts several times in the early 2000s, he was denied a number one hit in Germany. He succeeded in doing this with his participation in In My Mind . In My Mind was also the most successful song of 2018 in Germany. In January 2020, the single received a diamond record for over one million copies sold, making In My Mind one of the best-selling singles in Germany . At the end of January 2018, the original version published by Dynoro already reached the Austrian single charts , but fell off the charts after two weeks because this version was withdrawn from the market. The official release then hit the singles charts on June 22, 2018. The top 10 were reached in the sixth week of the chart, and on August 24, 2018, number one in the Austrian single charts was also reached. This is the third number one hit after La Passion and Super Agostinos. In My Mind was able to hold the top position in these charts for eight weeks. In the Swiss charts , In My Mind jumped to number one in the Swiss single charts in the sixth week of the chart . Here, too, it is the first number one hit for both artists involved. The song spent eight weeks at number one on the Swiss single charts.

In My Mind entered the UK single charts at number 100 on August 9, 2018. In the eighth week of the chart, the top 10 in Great Britain was reached for the first time with position eight. For both artists, this is the first Top 10 success in the UK. In My Mind , although it missed entry into the US Billboard Hot 100 , it was listed at number 13 in the Hot Dance / Electronic Songs . The song achieved further number one placements in Belgium , Finland , Norway , Poland , Sweden , Slovakia and the Czech Republic . In My Mind achieved further top 10 placements in Denmark (6th place) and Hungary (9th place).
