Leopold II of Habsburg
Leopold II (* 1328 ; † August 10, 1344 ), the younger of the two sons of Duke Otto the Happy , lost his mother, Elisabeth of Lower Bavaria , at the age of two , and his father at the age of eleven. At the age of 16 he died completely unexpectedly a few months before the sudden death of his 17-year-old brother Friedrich II. Contemporaries spoke of poisoning. Instead of the sons of the late Duke Otto, he was succeeded by the sons of his brother, Duke Albrechts II .
