Elisabeth of Lower Bavaria
Elisabeth von Niederbayern (* around 1305; † March 25, 1330 in Vienna ) was the first wife of Otto the Happy , who came from the Habsburg dynasty and who from 1330 bore the title of Duke of Austria.
Elisabeth was a daughter of Duke Stephan I of Lower Bavaria and his wife Judith von Schweidnitz . She was considered very fun-loving. On May 15, 1325, she married Otto the Happy in Straubing . She exerted a significant influence on life at her husband's court. The noble couple had two children:

Remarks
- ↑ Thus the article on Elisabeth in Brigitte Hamann (ed.): Die Habsburger , p. 84. Wurzbach's statement is incorrect: Elisabeth von Bayern . No. 60. In: Biographisches Lexikon. 6th part. Vienna 1860, p. 165 ( digitized version ) that Elisabeth only died around 1334.
