Leopold Kerscher

Leopold Kerscher (born January 1, 1894 , † March 16, 1945 in Munich ) was a German stage and film actor .

The Bayer Kerscher worked, albeit rarely with a permanent engagement, on several Munich theaters such as the Lustspielhaus since the beginning of the Weimar Republic and at times, towards the end of the 1930s, also worked for the Reichsender München. Kercher came across film in the early days of National Socialism when he was involved in two German-national, reactionary productions called Shock Troop 1917 and Um das Menschenrecht . Since the late 1930s, Leopold Kerscher has been seen mainly in robust men's stories such as Arnold Fanck's Ein Robinson and Luis Trenker's Der Feuerteufel as well as in white-and-blue, alpine homeland stories like The Running Mountain , The Ochsenkrieg and The Kreuzlschreiber , his last film. Kerscher died in his hometown of Munich in March 1945 shortly before the end of the Second World War.
